Job Title: Technical Course Developer / Designer - IP Networking, Triple Play

Description: Our client company is a world-wide industry leader developing and manufacturing a broad portfolio of telecommunications, data communications, broadband, & wireless networking solutions. They seek talented technical course developers / designers to develop training materials to be used in training their customers for their next-generation networking technology and products.
Contributions:
- Develop customer technical training course materials for the companies’ next-generation networking products, in the areas of IP Networking, Triple Play solutions.
- Apply fundamental research skills to instructional design projects.
- Select and use a variety of techniques for determining instructional content & for sequencing the training material contents.
- Design course materials considering the diversity of learner styles.
- Evaluate and assess instruction and its impact.
- Apply business skills to managing the instructional design process.
- Employ a project management approach to course development work.
- Meet with product development group to obtain product information as required.
- Develop Student and Instructor guides.
Capabilities:
- 2-3 years experience with technical instructional design or other structured methodology for course material design (development of classroom training material, instruction guides, job aids).
- Technical background in telephony, IP telephony preferred. Triple Play solutions technical knowledge a strong plus.
- Technical knowledge in a number of the following areas: telephony, BGPV4, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE, LDP, RFC-2547, multicast routing, QoS, ATM, Ethernet, SNMPV3, Triple Play services.
- CCNA or CCNP certification a plus.
- Ability to write effective post-instruction tests and technical certification test items. Ability to validate and track test items.
- Strong expertise in Unix, MS Office Word and PowerPoint, VISIO, & knowledge of MS Project and/or Excel as a project management tool.
- Excellent Project Management skills, above-average verbal communication and interpersonal skills, excellent written and visual communication skills.
