Job Title: Director Medical Affairs

Description: Our client company is an exciting biotechnology company developing therapeutics for pulmonary and respiratory diseases. Assume a key role to develop and execute the Medical Affairs strategy for the companies’ marketed products.
Contributions:
- Capitalize on opportunities for symposia and continuing medical education.
- Orchestrate Medical Affairs support at relevant congresses.
- Oversee publication strategy.
- Develop and maintain professional education materials.
- Build and maintain a professional response program.
- Coordinate phase IV and investigator-initiated research programs.
- Assist in developing and maintaining pharmacovigilance program.
- Play a key role in the company’s healthcare compliance system as it relates to regulatory, professional association guidelines, and other legal requirements.
- Participate effectively in cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, R&D, consultants) to achieve companies’ goals.
Capabilities:
- MD / DO with specialty in pediatrics strongly preferred.
- Pediatrics sub-specialty in neonatology, pulmonology, or critical care a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, preferably at an academic institution.
- Solid management and pharmaceutical/biotech Medical Affairs experience.
- Strong oral & written communication, analytical, influence, and negotiation skills. Solid presentation skills.
- Ability to stay abreast of current medical trends and advancements in the area of pediatrics and respiratory medicine.
- Team player and independent worker.
- Ability to travel 40%, domestically and internationally.
